Committees

Committees may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Education Committee
  This committee works closely with the Education Director and is responsible for locating and contracting with speakers for the Annual Conference. This committee also provides ideas and support for the Institute and Academy educational sessions.
• Election Committee
  This committee encourages members to run for election for open Board Positions and assists with the distribution and tallying of ballots at the Annual Conference. This committee also assists the Board with the Election Calendar/Checklist updates.
• Handbook Committee
  This committee reviews the UMCA handbook, and prepares and recommends updates and changes.
• Legislative Committee
  This committee attends the ULCT Legislative Policy Committee meetings, studies proposed state and federal legislation, and reports to UMCA Board and membership.
• Newsletter Committee
  This committee encourages the general membership to submit articles and photos for each quarterly newsletter.
• Silent Auction Committee 
  This committee works to solicit donated items for the Silent Auction held during the Annual Conference.
• Welcome Committee
  This committee is assigned to welcome new Clerks/Recorders at the Annual Conference. This committee works with the Membership Director to purchase and prepare a welcome packet for all first-time conference attendees.
